Workshops for AI mobile Robot

Robots are taking over more and more tasks from human. At home, it is common to have a robot cleaner to automatically vacuum the rooms. And robots that help monitor our elderly and children and even the environment around our house for fires and intrusions

Using Robot Operating System

These robots come with basic Artificial Intelligence to create the map of the home layout and navigate autonomously. New generation of robot helpers will be able to recognize family members, respond to voice commands, etc.

Home Robots

With the open source ROS (Robot Operating System), it is possible to build and develop such home mobile robots without developing the software from scratch.

These workshops will help students and makers to get started to develop their own AI mobile robots for home.

MBOT COURSE (9-12YRS OLD)

Students will learn:

  • Graphical programming using Scratch.

  • Programming structure, control loop, variables, etc.

  • Intermediate concepts of sensors and their applications.

  • Control of input and output (IO) of a microprocessor.

  • Program a robot to perform autonomous tasks e.g. Line follower and avoiding obstacles.

  • Real life applications of robots.

This course is an excellent way for participants to learn a new skill or continue expanding an existing skill. As one of the most popular courses we offer, there are classes available at many different times to fit all types of schedules. If you’re interested in learning more about this course, reach out and we’d be happy to help.

ULTIMATE ROBOT PROGRAM (13-16YRS OLD)

Students will learn:

  • Using a project life cycle to successfully implement a project

  • How to document project goals, functional specifications, etc.

  • Communication and presentation skills.

  • Design thinking

  • Project planning

  • Technical aspects of simple robot
