Cheng Yian has over 25 years of experience in the test and measurement industry with various executive positions from R&D, Technology Management, Professional Services and Global Support & Delivery. He started his career with Hewlett-Packard Test & Measurement Business (later became Agilent Technologies) in 1982. Before he joined DreamCatcher, he was an R&D Technology Manager of Agilent Measurement Systems Division.
Cheng Yian is the Managing Partner for DreamCatcher Singapore, specializing in Professional technical Training to Corporations and Institutions. He has trained regionally and is an expert in Course design and Project delivery. Based on his vast network and expertise, he has worked on STEM projects targeted to secondary and tertiary education prior to the spinoff company Sparklife.
He wishes to bring STEM education to the next level with in-depth learning and practice.
Our Mission
Our Mission is to inspire children to develop interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and to help them to develop life skills through our technology enrichment courses, mentored projects, and competitions.
We choose technology as a platform to impart life skills as technologies like robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be part of our life in future.
Technology is also our core competence from Sparklife previous life as Dream Catcher Technologies.

About Sparklife
Sparklife is setup to run the STEM business of Dream Catcher Technologies. Dream Catcher Technologies (www.dreamcatcher.asia) is a professional training company focusing on engineering and technical training.

About DCT
Since 2012 Dream Catcher Technologies (DCT) had been involved in STEM education. DCT conducted many STEM and Robotic workshops for schools and the general public. Since 2015, DCT distributed Makeblock products and robots. DCT successfully co-organized the first MakeX Blue Planet competition in 2018.
DCT also distributes Chumbaka (www.chumbaka.asia) kits.

In Oct 2018, Sparklife is formed to continue the STEM business from Dream Catcher Technologies. The staff and expertise of STEM business of Dream Catcher Technologies are transferred to Sparklife. In Oct 2018, Sparklife is formed to continue the STEM business from Dream Catcher Technologies.
